Daniel, a young college student, and his working-class mother, Rosario, live a modest life in their suburban Los Angeles home, where they were once a family of three that included his father. Then one day, on top of the vicissitudes that resulted in Daniel's father being deported, more hardship arrives at their doorstep in the form of the titular three-day notice informing them of their impending eviction. Daniel and Rosario must now scramble to maintain economic solvency in order to keep their home and prevent any further upending of their already tumultuous lives. But they aren't alone, because fate and faith have a way of providing even in our darkest moments: Whether it's via the kindness of strangers, the support of distant loved ones, or just a simple interaction with an inspiring person.
